About this ebook
Kenji is SO hungry, he's about to gobble up his whole dinner in one big bite!
"Wait!" says Grandpa. "First we say itadakimasu." But what does it mean? Together Kenji and Grandpa follow the journey of his dinner, from the rice farmer, the fisher and the vegetable garden to the sun, the rain and Mama's busy kitchen, and discover just how many people to thank.
A warm story about gratitude and good table manners from Japan, with Japanese words and a 'thank-you plate' activity.
