Privacy Policy
Last updated: November 5, 2026
The short version
- This website is for parents and other grown-ups. It is not meant for children to use on their own.
- We collect what we need to sell you ebooks and printables, send your files and answer your questions.
- We never sell your personal information.
- We use cookies and ad tools (like the Meta Pixel) to understand our site and show our ads. If you’re in the UK, EU or EEA, we ask first, and you can say no to the ones that aren’t needed.
- You can ask us to see, fix or delete your data at any time. Email hello@littlekiddle.com.
1. Who we are
Little Kiddle (“we,” “us,” “our”) runs littlekiddle.com. We make digital picture books, parenting guides and printables for families with kids aged 0–7. Our business is run from India.
For the purposes of privacy law, we are the “controller” (GDPR) or “data fiduciary” (India) of the personal information described here.
- Email: hello@littlekiddle.com
- Grievance Officer (India): hello@littlekiddle.com
2. What we collect
Information you give us
- Order and billing details: your name, email address, billing country and address, and what you bought. We need these to complete your order, send your files and keep tax records.
- WhatsApp number: we ask for it at checkout so we can help with your order. We only send you WhatsApp offers if you tick the box to say yes, and you can stop them at any time.
- Messages: anything you send us by email, contact form or social media.
- Email list: if you sign up for news or free printables, we keep your email address and what you signed up for. Emails are sent from our website through our email provider, Hostinger.
- Contest entries: if a parent or guardian enters one of our festival contests, we collect what the entry form asks for. Each contest has its own rules.
We do not have customer accounts or logins. You check out as a guest.
Payment information
We never see or store your full card number. Payments are handled by our payment processor:
- Razorpay (Razorpay Software Private Limited, India) processes card and other payments. See Razorpay’s privacy policy.
The processor tells us whether a payment worked and gives us limited details (like the last four digits of a card and the payment method) for our records.
Information collected automatically
- Device and usage data: your IP address, browser, device type, rough location (country or city), pages you visit and how you got to our site.
- Download records: when and how many times your download links are used, so we can help if a file doesn’t arrive and stop links being shared.
- Cookies and similar tools: see section 4.
3. How we use your information
| What we do | Why we’re allowed to (GDPR / UK GDPR legal basis) |
|---|---|
| Take payment, deliver your files, send your receipt | To carry out our contract with you |
| Answer questions and fix problems with files | Contract, and our legitimate interest in helping customers |
| Keep tax and accounting records | Legal obligation |
| Stop fraud and protect our files from being shared | Legitimate interest |
| Understand how our site is used and make it better | Your consent (for non-essential cookies and analytics) |
| Show you our ads on other sites and apps, and measure them | Your consent |
| Send our newsletter and offers | Your consent. You can unsubscribe at any time with one click. |
We do not use your information to make decisions about you that have legal or similar effects using only automated tools.
4. Cookies, analytics and ad pixels
Cookies are small files saved by your browser. Some are needed to make the shop work. Others help us learn and advertise. If you’re in the UK, EU or EEA, we ask first: our analytics and ad tools only load after you click “Accept” on our cookie banner.
| Tool | What it does | Type |
|---|---|---|
| WooCommerce / WordPress | Keeps your cart and checkout working | Essential |
| Payment processor (Razorpay) | Processes payment securely and helps stop fraud | Essential |
| Currency switcher | Shows prices in your local currency (Price Based on Country for WooCommerce) | Functional |
| Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms) | Measures our Facebook and Instagram ads and helps show them to people likely to be interested | Advertising |
| Google Analytics (Google, through Google Site Kit) | Counts visits and shows which pages are popular | Analytics |
| Jetpack Stats and WooCommerce Analytics (Automattic) | Count visits and show which pages and products are popular | Analytics |
| WooCommerce order attribution | Remembers how you found us (for example, an ad or another site) so we can see which ones lead to orders | Analytics |
If you’re in the UK, EU or EEA, you can change your choice any time using the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page. You can also block cookies in your browser settings, and learn about Meta’s ad choices at facebook.com/settings.
Global Privacy Control: if you’re in the UK, EU or EEA and your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as “Reject” for analytics and ad cookies.
5. Who we share information with
We share personal information only with companies that help us run the shop, and only as much as they need:
- Website hosting: Hostinger.
- Payments: Razorpay.
- Email delivery: Hostinger, our email provider, delivers order emails and the follow-up emails you agree to.
- Analytics and ads: Meta, Google and Automattic (Jetpack), as described in section 4.
- Professional advisers: accountants and lawyers, when needed.
- Authorities: when the law requires it.
We do not sell your personal information. Under some US state laws, using ad pixels can count as “sharing” for targeted advertising. You can opt out of that at any time (see section 9).
If you buy our books on Amazon, Etsy or another marketplace, that marketplace’s privacy policy applies to your purchase there.
6. International transfers
We are based in India, and our service providers may store data in India, the United States, the EU or other countries. When we move personal information out of the UK or the EU, we rely on safeguards the law allows, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK Addendum, or the provider’s own approved transfer tools.
7. How long we keep it
| Information | How long |
|---|---|
| Order and invoice records | As long as tax and accounting rules require |
| Download links | Each link works for a limited time and number of downloads. We can resend them if you need them later. |
| Customer support emails | Up to 3 years after our last message, then deleted |
| Newsletter list | Until you unsubscribe. We may remove people who haven’t opened our emails in 2 years. |
| Website logs and security data | At least 1 year (India’s DPDP Rules require this), then deleted |
| Analytics and ad data | Set by each tool; we use the shortest practical setting |
8. Keeping your information safe
Our site uses HTTPS encryption. We limit who can see customer data, use strong passwords and two-step login on our accounts, and keep our software updated. No system is perfectly secure. If a data breach is likely to put you at risk, we will tell you and the right authorities as the law requires.
9. Your privacy rights
Wherever you live, you can email us at hello@littlekiddle.com to:
- ask what personal information we have about you and get a copy;
- fix information that is wrong;
- ask us to delete your information (we may need to keep order records for tax law);
- stop marketing emails or messages;
- take back any consent you gave, as easily as you gave it.
We will reply within 30 days. We may need to check it’s really you first, usually by asking you to reply from the email you used to order. We won’t charge you or treat you differently for using your rights.
UK, EU and EEA visitors (GDPR and UK GDPR)
You also have the right to restrict or object to how we use your data, the right to data portability, and the right to complain to your local data protection authority. In the UK that is the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). In the EU, it is the authority in your country. We’d be grateful if you contacted us first so we can try to help.
California and other US states (CCPA/CPRA and similar laws)
California’s privacy law (the CCPA, as amended by the CPRA) applies to businesses that have more than $26,625,000 in yearly revenue, buy, sell or share the personal information of 100,000 or more California residents or households a year, or make half or more of their revenue from selling or sharing personal information. Little Kiddle is a small business and is very likely below these thresholds today.
Even so, we want California residents and people in other US states with privacy laws to have the same choices:
- Categories we collect: identifiers (name, email, IP address), commercial information (what you bought), internet activity (pages viewed), and rough location.
- We do not sell personal information, and we do not knowingly sell or share the data of anyone under 16.
- Opt out of targeted advertising (“sharing”): email us with the subject line “Do Not Share” and we will help. You can also block cookies in your browser and use Meta’s ad settings.
- Sensitive information: we don’t collect it for the purpose of inferring things about you.
India (Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023)
India’s DPDP Act 2023 and the DPDP Rules 2025 give you the right to access a summary of your data, correct and update it, have it erased, withdraw consent, nominate someone to act for you, and raise a complaint. Most duties under the Rules come into force in stages, with core duties starting May 13, 2027. We aim to follow them now.
To use these rights or raise a complaint, contact our Grievance Officer at hello@littlekiddle.com. We will resolve complaints within 90 days at most, and usually much faster. If you are not happy with our answer, you may contact the Data Protection Board of India.
10. Children’s privacy
Our books are for children, but our website is for grown-ups. Parents, carers, grandparents and teachers browse and buy here. Children should not use this site, buy from it or send us information.
- We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. This follows the US Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
- Our shop and checkout forms do not ask for a child’s details. The one exception is our festival contests: a parent or guardian enters, and the entry form asks for the child’s first name and age and a photo of the entry. Entries are stored privately and seen only by our team. Please don’t include children’s details in other messages to us.
- If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete it quickly. If you think this has happened, email hello@littlekiddle.com.
- Under GDPR, UK GDPR and India’s DPDP Act, the age limits are different (up to 16 in some EU countries and 18 in India). Our site is meant only for adults (18+), and we don’t knowingly process data about children.
11. Links to other sites
Our site links to places like YouTube, Instagram, Pinterest, Amazon and Etsy. They have their own privacy policies. We aren’t responsible for how they handle your information.
12. Changes to this policy
We’ll update this page when our tools or the law change. We’ll change the “Last updated” date at the top. If a change is important, we’ll tell customers by email.
13. Contact us
Questions about privacy? Email hello@littlekiddle.com with “Privacy” in the subject line. A real person on our small team will reply.
